| Charles Chevalier's Biography Charles Chevalier was born February 18th, 1981, in Lake Charles, Louisiana to Sheila Smith and Tommy Chevalier. He is the youngest of three children; Michael and Joe are his two brothers.
Charles was raised his whole life in Sulphur, Louisiana. Many things interested Charles in his childhood, but basketball captured his attention the most. He played for the Sulphur High Golden Tornadoes basketball team and earned varsity letters for his junior and senior seasons.
Two years later, Charles attended East Texas Baptist University. There he was involved in the Baptist Student Ministry as coordinator of the evangelism team and served on the BSM leadership team his sophomore year.
Entering his junior year, Charles decided to pursue his dream of playing college basketball. That season he started 20 out of 24 games. Charles earned recognition as an American Southwest Conference all-academic team member. He also was honored as the Robert E. Craig Christian Athlete of the Year, given annually to the athlete who demonstrates Christ-likeness on and off the court.
In his senior year, Charles helped his team to a second place finish in their division. Again he was honored as a member of the all-academic team. He finished his academic career in May 2005 with his bachelors degree in Christian Ministries.
Since graduating, Charles was been employed with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes in Houston, Texas. He serves as an area representative for the Houston ISD, Aldine ISD, and North Forest ISD school districts.
Charles is single, and enjoys playing basketball, eating hot wings, joking around, and traveling to new places.
